Power Nap - a day to unplug
The challenge:
Rather than enjoying life and all it has to offer upfront, teens are often hiding behind a screen, totally tuned into their devices while tuning out the real world.
The objective:
To encourage teens to step away from their phones.
The audience:
Middle/High School, Ages 13-18
The idea:
Don’t miss out on what’s beyond the screen.
Step 1: Power Nap will first be introduced via a promotional snapchat filter.

Step 2: On March 9th, 2019, users of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter will be physically unplugged from their applications after using them for 15 minutes straight.

Step 3: Users will receive this message when trying to re-open any of the apps. This allows them to see the venues participating in Power Nap.
Step 4: Venues, such as Dylan's Candy Bar, Black Tap, and the Disney Store, will all receive a wall of phone lockers. In order for someone to enter the event, they must hand in their phone. This serves as their ticket into the event, and promotes our cause.
Step 5: Venues will also be given a window wrap to easily identify who is participating. Our plan is for each venue to have a signature drink, food item, or experience that teens will enjoy, yet be unable to post about.
